Tech Edventures Winter Camp Comes to Gideon Math & Reading
A Week of Robotics and Coding This Winter Break
Tech Edventures award winning camp now in Frisco this winter! Campers will spend their days building robots, wiring circuits and writing computer code to make real-life missions a success. We'll use batteries, resistors and micro-chips as well as coding tools like Python. Tech Camp is where serious fun meets serious learning for DFW's smartest kids.
Each week brings exciting challenges. In Robotics: Visual Programming with Thymio, campers in K-2nd grades can navigate through mazes and turn robots into crazy creatures using a simple, powerful coding language. Or try Squishy Circuits, where young kids get hands-on lessons in electronics by building working circuits. Older kids in grades 3-5 can jump into Code Academy: Intro to Python and spend the week writing working apps. Or they can build remote-controlled rescue 'bots during our VEX Search and Rescue Challenge. Each of these camps offers hands-on exposure to the same technical skills that coders, designers and engineers use in real life.
Camp Dates Mon-Fri Dec 18-22: Morning Camps 8:45-11:45 AM (K-2) Robotics: Visual Coding w/ Thymio (3-5) Code Academy: Intro to Python Afternoon Camps 12:30-3:30 PM (K-2) Squishy Circuits: Electronics Lab (3-5) Robotics: Search & Rescue Challenge All camp registrations through the Tech Edventures web portal.
