Birding 101 - Ray Roberts Lake State Park Isle du Bois - Texas Parks and Wildlife

Learn the basics of how to bird with a ranger. We'll cover the equipment birders need and how to identify birds in the field. Afterwards, we'll be going on a short hike to practice and look for birds.

Meet: Lost Pines Amphitheater (in the event of inclement weather we will meet at the Nature Center)
Bring: Dress for the weather, water, binoculars, and field guide optional (we will have a limited set of binoculars and field guides available to borrow)
Note: This program is weather dependent. All park programs are free and open to the public with paid entrance fee ($7 per adult ages 13 and up, children 12 and under are always free!) No need to register, just show up. Park programs subject to changes or cancellations. Call the park for the most up to date information.
