Breaking Up Is Hard To Do - Plaza's Drive-Up Theatre

Plaza Theatre Company is pleased to announce performances of BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO as part of the Plaza's Drive-Up Theatre series. BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO will play on Friday and Saturday evenings only from October 23rd thru November 14th. The parking lot will open for seating at 7pm with the show beginning at 8pm. Those attending may park in Plaza's North Parking Lot just to the north of Dudley Hall. Audience may bring chairs, blankets, coolers, food, drinks, (no alcoholic beverages) of their choosing but will be restricted to their own seating pod with members of their own party. The stage itself as well as all the seating pods will be marked for strict social distancing.

In compliance with Texas Governor Greg Abbott's order, a Covid-19 Mitigation Plan has been submitted and approved by local authorities and health officials which includes stringent protocols to protect both audience and performers alike. Both the performance itself and the audience will be in an open air, outdoor space and will utilize strict social distancing guidelines which will be followed to the letter. (The approved Covid-19 Mitigation Plan is attached in the comments for reference.)

Set in a Catskills resort in 1960, BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO is the sweetly comic story of Lois and Marge, two friends from Brooklyn in search of good times and romance over one wild Labor Day weekend. The score showcases 18 Neil Sedaka classics, including “Where the Boys Are”, “Sweet Sixteen”, “Calendar Girl”, “Love Will Keep Us Together”, and of course, the chart-topping title song. The show will feature Plaza performers Emily Warwick, Caitlan Leblo, Josh Leblo, Aaron Siler, Jarrett Self and Kathy Lemons in the role of The Plaids. The show will be directed by Aaron Siler.
Tickets for BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Due to the potential of inclement weather or possible illness among the cast and crew, tickets will be sold at the door on a first come - first served basis only. Per the approved plan, no more than 100 seats will be sold to each individual show.
