Candy Cane Lane Drive Thru Event- Dec 4th- REGISTER TODAY!!

To allow for social distancing, our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, has been recreated to the Candy Cane Lane Drive Thru. ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for all event attendees under the age of 12. Each child must register individually. Registration is FREE and available for 30-minute intervals from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Entry will only be allowed during your scheduled time slot. Registration begins Monday, November 9 at 5:00 PM for residents and Monday, November 16 at 5:00 PM for non-residents. Spaces are limited - register early!

Face masks are required for all guests ages 2 years of age and older who are directly interfacing with the staff and/or volunteers while in their vehicles to protect both parties. All participants shall remain in their vehicles. Walkthroughs are prohibited.
Jingle all the way down Candy Cane Lane in the snow and get a quick socially distanced picture with Santa. Mrs. Claus will have free cookie decorating kits for all the children on the nice list. Greet Rudolph and Frosty. Send a letter to Santa, view the City’s Christmas Tree and enjoy other holiday activities and surprises. Participants shall remain in the safety of their own car throughout the entire event with the exception of the “Santa Stop Spot”. When each vehicle arrives at the “Santa Stop Spot”, you may get out of your vehicle to take a quick picture using your own camera and quickly get back in to keep the line moving.
You can also pre-purchase hot chocolate in the City of Richland Hills 70th anniversary commemorative color changing mugs for $3 each. If you already have a mug, you’ll just need to purchase a refill for $1.50. Pre-purchase your mug when your register and it will be ready for you on Candy Cane Lane during the event.
After you have registered for a selected time slot, load up your friends and family in the vehicle and head to The Link Parking Lot. When you arrive, be sure to tune your radio to 90.3 FM. You just might hear your name called for a prize. Also, be sure to check for our Snapchat filters to make your own souvenir event photo. Please enter at 6724 Rena Dr (near the Library) from the south to begin the Drive-Thru path. View the map below for more details.
