A Texas State University research and education center offering field day classes and summer camps for adventurous minds ages 9-15. Whether it's exploring a wild cave, rafting down a river, or being amazed at the aquatic life in local streams and rivers, give your child an unforgettable nature experience this summer. Day and overnight camps available.

Overnight Expedition Camps (Registration Deposit-$250) - The overnight camp runs from Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Campers will spend the first part of the week on the main Texas State University campus staying in a residence hall. The last 3 days of camp are spent at the scenic University Camp, a Texas State-owned property located along the shores of the beautiful Blanco River. Campers will experience a wide variety of exciting, educational activities including river rafting, scuba diving, exploring a wild cave, and even a natural water slide! Throughout the week, campers will engage with our knowledgeable staff by participating in scientific investigations related to water and the environment.  Cost: $1000.

Explorer Day Camps (Registration Deposit $150) - We offer a week-long day camp for campers who would like the camp experience without an overnight component. The camp runs from 8:30am to 5pm Monday-Friday and features many of the daytime science and recreational activities from the overnight camp including river rafting, caving, scuba diving, and more. Lunch is provided during camp. Cost: $500.

Nature Adventure Half-Day Camp - New in 2024!  Calling all young nature enthusiasts! Our brand-new Nature Adventure Day Camp is tailor-made for curious minds aged 6-8 who crave exploration and adore the outdoors. From 8:30 am to 12 pm, Monday through Friday, get ready for a whirlwind of science and nature activities that are all about fun. Join us as we go critter-hunting in the aquatic world, craft new creatures, and embark on exciting outdoor escapades. Please note: Lunch is not provided. Total Cost: $150.

Discovery Day Camps - Get ready to uncover the world of science, adventure, and fun! Our Discovery Day Camps, running from 9 am to 4 pm, are divided into two age groups: 9-12 and 12-14. Each day is its own adventure so campers can choose to dive into one, two, or even all three days of science tailored to their age group. Please note: Lunch is not providedCost: $60.

Aquatic Science Field Days are designed for regional public, private, charter, and home schools, grades 3 - 12. Classes choose between water chemistry or aquatic biology modules that include outdoor and laboratory components. Price: $5 / student.
