MLK Jr. Day Celebration in Denton
MLK Day commemorates the birthday of American civil rights leader Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrates his life, achievements, and legacy. Locally, we’ll come together in honor of the theme: Mentoring The Dream through activities such as a flag football tournament, community march, and program immediately following the march.
MLK Jr. Day Celebration is Monday, January 19
The march set up begins at 9 a.m. at the American Legion Hall Senior Center (524 Lakey St.)
The program begins at 10 a.m. at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center (1300 Wilson St.)
