Sensory Friendly Day- Dallas Zoo

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 01/12/2020
Sensory Friendly Day is specially designed for individuals on the autism spectrum or those who have sensory sensitivities to enjoy a fun day at the Zoo with their families and caregivers!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Participants have access to Sensory Havens, which are modified to create relief from any overwhelming situations. These special rooms are operated by our partners in the TWU Occupation Therapy department.

Other modifications will include Quiet Zones throughout the Zoo and a special sensory activity tour! Plus, activity stations with our community partners Texas Women’s University, Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, and more.
