Explore Texas Plant Power

Your guide is the ranch owner of High Hope Ranch, who will teach you about native Texas plant species, emphasizing those that have known medicinal uses.

This beautiful north Texas ranch is adjacent to Fossil Rim, an area of natural biodiversity, and a habitat for many native Texas species. You and your friends or family can see the special geologic features associated with this area, while learning about native medicinal plants.

Learn Local History

Your host will share with you the history of this beautiful ranch, as you hike in the Texas countryside. This ranch practices a unique biodynamic agriculture method which respects the spirit within every plant and animal it tends. Biodynamics not only honors life but also brings more intentionality and spirit into the work they do, including planting/tending to animals with the moon and planet cycles, creating biodynamic preparations and spreading them out in the garden/on the land, and creating biodynamic compost.

This is a special opportunity to learn about native Texas plants, celebrate natural biological diversity, and to engage in the world around you.

Planning Your Trip

All attendees ages 3+ must prebook tickets. Child tickets are for those ages 3-12, and adult tickets for those ages 13 and over. Children 0-2 are free and will need to be carried.

Please wear hiking boots or equivalent footwear, and bring your own water bottle, hat and sunscreen. You can also extend your trip by staying at one of the ranch's guest houses or campsites, or participating in other activities in this beautiful area.
