Rochester fiber artist Pat Pauly will lead a 5-day intensive workshop on printing fabric with large motifs at the Schweinfurth Art Center

Pick a handful of strong motifs — from light and airy to big and bold – and use them to print spectacular fabric. Using thickened fabric dyes, we will combine motifs to create whole cloth prints, or overall prints, or some to cut later and use in fiber work. You will use your graphic motif in several printing techniques, including drawing, color application, monoprint, and screen printing. Knowledge of dye processes helpful but not critical.
