PEERS for Preschoolers is a targeted program designed to enhance social skills among young children, primarily those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. However, its structured approach and focus on fundamental social interactions make it potentially beneficial for children with ADHD, anxiety, communication disorders, and other socio-emotional challenges. Through engaging activities like puppet shows and interactive games, the program teaches essential behaviors such as greeting, sharing, and managing emotions. Parents are actively involved, learning to reinforce these skills through guided practice and receiving feedback to improve their coaching methods. This comprehensive strategy not only supports children in developing vital social skills but also empowers parents to foster their child’s ability to navigate social complexities effectively.
