Run with the Turkeys Trot

Below are the details:
1000 Bear Creek Parkway
EVENT DATE: Thursday November 26, 2020
5k & 10k RUN COURSE: 3.1 & 6.2 route will be mapped out for runners to follow on the beautiful Keller trails. We will have unmanned water/aid stations on the course but you can also bring your own water bottle if you desire. The 5K runner/walkers will hit the water/aid stations twice and the 10K runners/walkers will hit the water/aid stations 4 times during the run.
RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
6:00AM- Packet Pick Up Opens. ( Make sure you are registered online first )
7:30am – 8:00am Time Slot 1 Starts
8:01am – 8:30am Time Slot 2 Starts
8:31am – 9:00am Time Slot 3 Starts
9:01am – 9:30am Time Slot 4 Starts
( Runners/walkers can show up anything during there assigned time slot. Once you have your bib you can start the race. No Mass starts keep with Covid 19 regulations )
PACKET PICK UP SCHEDULE:

We STRONGLY suggest you pick up your packet(s) or have a friend or family member do so at any packet pick up listed above. The race start will not be held if you are late in receiving your packet race morning. Be sure to register online first prior to heading to any packet pick up location to obtain your packets.
Anyone can pick up your packet.
Maximum 5 packets per pick up.
Can't make the event then join us virtually. Do the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon at your own pace and time. After you complete your distance go to the website and click on the "Results" option in the menu bar. Submit virtual results. Also post pictures on the DAR Facebook LIVE page. Each virtual runner will receive a race shirt, coffee mug, and race bib. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR PACKET AT ONE OF THE SCHEDULED PACKET PICK UPS. WE WILL NOT MAIL PACKETS
BENEFICIARY: COMMUNITY STOREHOUSE
DAR have teamed up with Community Storehouse to help benefit the kids in the Keller ISD and Northwest ISD by bringing non-perishable food items. Food insecurity affects 20% of the children in the Keller ISD and 25% in Northwest ISD. Please bring 2-3 non-perishable items race day.
WHAT YOU GET ( RACE SWAG )
Each participants will receive a Run With The Turkeys Long Sleeve shirt unisex sizes including children's sizing. All finishers will also receive an awesome commemorative coffee mug
The awards will be ONE DEEP per age group with individual awards for overall male, overall female, overall masters female & male and overall grand masters female and male.
The break down of age group awards are as follows:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over
Male – 40-59
Female – 40-54
Male – 60 and over
Female – 55 and over
Overall Finisher Awards and Age Group Awards are based on gun time for running events and chip time for triathlon events.
AWARDS WILL BE MAIL OUT AFTER THE EVENT. ALLOW SOME TIME DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS
1. Must wear masks except when actually running. No mass start and must maintain social distancing. Runners will start when they arrive at race site and are checked in.
2. Sanitizing station outside portable toilets
3. Hand sanitizers will be available and ample trash receptacles placed around race venue
4. Aid stations will be set up on the run course. They will be unmanned. 5K will hit an aid station 2 times, 10K 4 times.
5. Volunteers and staff will wear face covering masks
6. Post party food will be snacks that runners can take with them.
7. MUGS can be picked up at a safe distance from the finish line
8. Announcer will make several announcements during the event to remind everyone to follow safety guidelines.
