The Knight School Summer Chess Camps are high energy, beginner friendly camps designed to make learning chess exciting and memorable for kids of all skill levels. Whether a student is brand new to chess or already loves the game, our camps provide a fun and supportive environment where every camper can learn, improve, and enjoy the experience.
Each day includes engaging strategy lessons that teach powerful openings, clever tactics, and smart endgame ideas. Campers work through daily puzzlers that sharpen critical thinking and pattern recognition, watch zany chess videos that keep everyone laughing, and compete in lively tournament games where they can test their new skills against fellow campers.
Students also earn progress through our famous Tactics Belt system, a motivational ranking program that rewards improvement and mastery of important chess concepts. Throughout the week, campers build confidence, focus, and problem solving skills while developing a love for the game.
The camp experience is designed to balance learning and fun so that students stay engaged, challenged, and excited to come back each day. No prior chess experience is required and all skill levels are welcome.
