Summer Classes at the Nature Center provide students with an exciting hands-on, experiential opportunity to explore our natural world. A variety of STEM programs and topics offer an interactive, engaging way to learn about wildlife, ecology and the environment with classes ranging from Preschool to 8th Grade. Weekly Summer Camps are available throughout June and July, offering a 9am–12pm schedule for children ages 3–4 years old, and a 9am–3pm schedule for 1st–8th graders.

Creator Camp’s summer programs for ages 5–7 are all about playful creativity and exploration! These shorter, fun-focused sessions let young makers dive into age-appropriate activities like Storybook World Creators and Superhero Movie Makers, where campers imagine and build their own characters, stories, and mini-films. Your young magician will spend four days learning to make a rubber band teleport, find a chosen card with the help of a queen, and pluck a number right out of someone's mind. By Thursday they record their favorite performance to share with friends and family. Live on Zoom, small groups of 4 kids, everyday objects. No experience needed. Ages 8-12. Multiple weeks available June and July.

School’s out, adventure’s in! Give your K–8th grader a summer to remember with our weeklong Summer Camps at the Dallas Zoo. Led by our expert Zoo Guides, each camp week is packed with hands-on learning, games, and unforgettable encounters. Whether your child is wild about reptiles or curious about conservation, this is the perfect way to spend their summer break. Campers should provide their own sack lunch and a refillable water bottle.

Campers ages 4 to 10 will hike throughout the Zoo each day, cool off at Safari Splash, feed giraffes and learn at live animal presentations. Plus, they’ll have all the fun of traditional summer camp with arts & crafts, outdoor games, a field day and friendly competitions to see which team has the best cheer! Half-day camps are for 4- and 5-year-olds who have not completed kindergarten. Full-day camps are for children 5 years old (who have completed kindergarten) through 10 years old. Middle School and High School Summer Zoo Camp gives campers special behind-the-scenes access at the Fort Worth Zoo. From mammals and ectotherms to veterinary and nutrition, each session allows campers to focus on their areas of interest as they get up close to their favorite Zoo residents. Overnight Summer Zoo Camp, for ages 8 to 10, is everything your kids love about the Zoo – after the park closes! Breakfast and a Summer Zoo Camp T-shirt are included.

Students prepare for middle school math contests like MATHCOUNTS and the AMC 8, as well as beginning high school contests like the AMC 10. Students tackle challenging contest-level problems focused on number theory and geometry, and build contest-taking skills and strategies through daily practice contests.

Camp Shine MS is a two week experience where middle school actors dive deeper into the world of musical theatre. This summer students will perform inspirational story of “Footloose Youth Edition” with performances on Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st.

CAMP OLYMPIA is a private, overnight Texas summer camp for boys and girls ages 6-16 offering one-week, two-week, and three-week camp sessions. Summer camp at Olympia is an experience like no other. We have TONS of fun outdoors, but the camp experience is so much more than that.
