Summer Classes at the Nature Center provide students with an exciting hands-on, experiential opportunity to explore our natural world. A variety of STEM programs and topics offer an interactive, engaging way to learn about wildlife, ecology and the environment with classes ranging from Preschool to 8th Grade. Weekly Summer Camps are available throughout June and July, offering a 9am–12pm schedule for children ages 3–4 years old, and a 9am–3pm schedule for 1st–8th graders.

Counselors guide campers through their first 12 robot models, which include a variety of animals, amazing mechanisms, and adventure stories.

If so, the Frisco RoughRiders want to help them achieve their baseball dreams with the RoughRiders Baseball Academy. RoughRiders Baseball Academy camps are divided into camp types. Campers will be divided into groups of eight to ensure quality instruction and each camper will be provided with a free t-shirt. As an added bonus, each camp's final day will end with a Lazy River party for the campers and their families!

Each day of Math Beasts Camp 2 covers a different important topic in early mathematics education. Students focus on number sense, addition, subtraction, shapes, place value, comparisons, and patterns. They build skills with interactive lessons, games, and hands-on activities.

Students practice foundational skills from Algebra 1 and prepare for Geometry and Algebra 2. They focus on concepts needed to propel them through advanced math, such as functions, graphing, angles, and foundational number theory. Campers will discover loads of horribly fantastic experiments! Projects focus on blood, bones and body bits! This is science with the squishy bits left in it. There is tons of chemistry and biology for the aspiring doctor or scientist! Grossologists will indulge in many other sickening body experiments. This is our most disgustingly fun camp!

Using LEGO’s EV3 Education Set, campers are introduced to robotics with Legos and the Lego Mindstorms Software. Campers will work as scientists and engineers as they progress though a set of lessons, challenges, and projects that fully integrate science, technology, engineering, and math concepts while prompting creative problem solving, communication, and teamwork.

Sir Isaac Newton never had this much fun! Campers will be immersed into our toy maker’s workshop as they construct and take home several different toy projects during the week. Campers will learn why kaleidoscopes produce such beautiful colors, build and play with a marshmallow shooter, and create the classic rubber band ball. Each project will teach an important physical property. Sample Projects include: Pocket Rocket, Sponge Ball Slingshot, Marshmallow Shooter, Snap Circuit Board.

Campers ages 4 to 10 will hike throughout the Zoo each day, cool off at Safari Splash, feed giraffes and learn at live animal presentations. Plus, they’ll have all the fun of traditional summer camp with arts & crafts, outdoor games, a field day and friendly competitions to see which team has the best cheer! Half-day camps are for 4- and 5-year-olds who have not completed kindergarten. Full-day camps are for children 5 years old (who have completed kindergarten) through 10 years old. Middle School and High School Summer Zoo Camp gives campers special behind-the-scenes access at the Fort Worth Zoo. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 will discover something new at the Dallas Zoo during each of our camp experiences.

Make this summer one to climb for! In our week-long half day summer camp, kids build confidence through rock climbing and engaging, inclusive activities. By connecting with themselves, their peers, and their coaches, they grow and shine like never before.

This camp is a FUN introduction into the world of robotics! Campers will learn about the six simple machines and how they are incorporated into more complex machines. Campers will also learn about electricity, circuits, and power sources as they build our “Mars-like” RC Snap Rover. The radio-controlled RC Rover is capable of performing 23 experiments and activities. Campers will also have fun constructing our Artbot & Bristlebot!

CAMP OLYMPIA is a private, overnight Texas summer camp for boys and girls ages 6-16 offering one-week, two-week, and three-week camp sessions. Summer camp at Olympia is an experience like no other. We have TONS of fun outdoors, but the camp experience is so much more than that. We strive to create a positive, tech-free environment where children can be themselves, be encouraged by adult role models, grow in confidence and independence, discover new qualities and skills, and learn the true essence of friendship and community.

Campers can enjoy a full day at the Zoo through outdoor exploration, educational adventures, age-appropriate fun, and opportunities to learn about our animal families.

Campers will begin learning about what a vet is and what they do. They will learn the basic anatomy of and care for both cats and dogs, as well as more advanced care like stitches and broken bones. They’ll also spend time learning about the different body systems, including the circulatory, respiratory, and skeleton systems, by creating and making models of these important systems.
